In honor of Prime Day, I thought it would be fun to look back at some all-time favorite finds from all of our favorite place to shop – Amazon. What did we ever do without it? I don’t know either. But how awesome is it to have a one-stop shop for just about anything you could ever need… or usually for me, don’t need, but click “add to cart” for anyway. Here are some top items that made my list and have helped me on my quest to “build happy” in our home!
5. Bestway H2O Go! Two-In-One Wide Inflatable Family Outdoor Pool
You guys, you need this pool. If you aren’t lucky enough to have a big pool at your house, this is seriously the next best thing. I bought one of these on Amazon last summer in hopes of creating some water-related fun for the kiddos on the days when we just wanted to hang out at home and didn’t have the time or energy to head to the pool. It’s been an amazing buy. My kids are seven and five and they absolutely love it. It’s just big enough that they can slide from one side of the pool to the other, and they even love to bring their babies, Barbies, or superheroes in too. It’s easy enough that I can set it up on my own. A little trick I use is to get an attachment for your leaf blower so that you can fill inflatables – it’s a lifesaver and I can have this baby all blown up and ready to fill with water in about 3 minutes!
4. DesignOvation Beatrice Framed Dry Erase Magnetic Monthly Calendar

I love being organized and I’ve learned that I’m super visual in that I need to see how my month will play out in order for me to get a grip on the big picture. If that sound like you, then I know you’d love this dry erase monthly calendar. This hangs in our mud room and it’s kind of the go-to spot for anyone in the family who wants to know what’s going on. When is that next 4-H meeting? Check the calendar! When is daddy’s next day off of work? Go check the calendar! The kids have actually come to love that they can see what’s coming up next. They get excited about special days and it even helped them learn the days of the week when they were little. This one in particular is the perfect size at 23″X29″ and it’s simple and stylish and would match any room of your house.
3. MarvelBeads Water Beads Rainbow Mix
Speaking of awesome finds for the kids, who has little ones who love Orbeez? If you haven’t heard of these, it’s totally worth checking them out. They are basically water beads that start out as tiny little balls and then after you soak them in water for a couple of hours they magically turn squishy and get bigger. These are awesome for sensory play, and I can attest that these keep the attention of kids of all different age ranges. As long as your kiddos are old enough that they won’t eat them, these are so much fun. This pack on Amazon is only $6.99 (because it’s an off-brand and not actual Orbeez brand) and it’s a half pound of these things which is hundreds! I’ve tried other brands and some of them aren’t as durable and fall apart after they’re played with for a while – but this particular pack takes the cake for me! A bonus tip is to pick up a little plastic pool from the dollar store and fill the pool with some warm water and these… your kids will be happy for hours!
2. Shark WANDVAC Handheld Vacuum
One day I noticed that my sister and her husband had a little cordless vacuum at their house and it made me realize that this was totally what was missing in my life! Seriously though, once you have one of these then you don’t even know how you lived without it. I did a little bit of research and ended up with this Shark handheld vacuum which I love. It’s super small and compact and I just keep it plugged in on the shelf in our pantry. It’s the perfect household tool to pull out when you don’t want to lug around your entire big vacuum cleaner. Your kids leave the dinner table and they leave a little mess with them? No big deal, just pull this out! You unload the beach bag in the laundry room and what seems like a pound of sand shakes out with your towels? No problem! This little vacuum to the rescue!
1. Royal Palace Inflatable Bounce House with Slide
About 2 1/2 years ago, we had a February with almost a week of 70 degree temps – it was the kind of early spring that we dream of! Anyway, that also happens to be the time of year when both of my kids have birthdays too. I was super stumped on what to get them, and since they have winter birthdays I feel like it’s always even harder to think of gifts because we can’t do anything outside. Well, the rising temps in the forecasts inspired me to do a combined birthday present and get them this bounce house off of Amazon (which at the time was like $310). I can honestly tell you this was the all-time best purchase I have ever made. All of this time later, and this bouncy house has gotten SO MUCH use over the years, and it’s still in near-perfect condition! It’s durable, portable, and easy enough that when we first got it I actually set this thing up on my own while my husband was at work! I know… I was super proud of myself! Anyway, I know that the cost has gone up over the years, likely because it’s truly a good product, but even where it’s at now, it might be worth it to your family. We set ours up outside so many times, and then when we moved into our new house we realized that the taller ceilings in our basement allowed us to set this up downstairs too!
Happy Amazon shopping to everyone!
